Slip The Hundy N snagged the victory in the $13,699 featured conditioned pace at Tioga Downs on Sunday, May 26 with driver Mike Merton aboard, meanwhile, driver Braxten Boyd won half of the afternoon's 10 races.
In the main event, Slip The Hundy N ($4.40) grabbed the early lead before releaseing Colossal Stride A (Braxten Boyd) to the front through a first quarter of :26.2. Slip The Hundy N retook command of the field on the way to the halfway point in :56.3 before taking the field to three-quarters in 1:24.2. As the field reached the stretch, Colossal Stride A remained in hot pursuit, but Slip The Hundy N was too strong on the engine and won well in hand in 1:52.4 by 1-1/2 lengths. Feelin Western (Jim Taggart Jr.) finished third.
Slip The Hundy N is a seven-year-old gelding by Lincoln Royal and is owned by Michael Casalino while being trained by Rob Harmon. The win was his fourth this season from a dozen starts and the 19th of his career.
Braxten Boyd had quite a weekend at Tioga Downs. A day after getting a grand slam, Boyd won half of the matinee card on Sunday. He started the day by getting a natural grand slam, winning races two through five. He was first with Squadron Seelster ($15.80), Risky Lightning ($26.40), High Voltage Deo ($2.90) and Pine Bush Italiano ($3). Boyd capped off his great day by winning race nine with Spy Craft ($2.50).
