Truro Raceway General Manager Raymond Tynes has been quoted as saying that Sunday’s 're-opening' program of live racing at the track exceeded his expectations.
“Today exceeded my expectations,” Tynes has been quoted as saying in an article by the Truro Daily News. “You have to give staff and the volunteers a lot of credit. We have the dining room open this week and every week people will see improvements. We’re listening to people and our ultimate goal is to make this the number one entertainment centre in the Maritimes.”
In addition to a good deal of promotional events, Truro’s Sunday card was highlighted by the $1,275 Winners Over Pace, which was won by the Ryan Ellis-driven and Adam Merner-trained Likely To Win in 1:59.1.
