Spring Fling Series champion Barockey continued her winning ways on Friday night at Rideau Carleton Raceway for trainer-driver Ted McDonald
.
The Mach Three sophomore filly front-stepped her way to a 1:55.1 victory in the 11th race conditioned pace. The win was her fifth in a row and the mile time was just one-fifth of a second off her lifetime mark, which she matched in her last three outings. Shes A Maniac and Got The Munchies rounded out the top three finishers.
Barockey paid $3.40 to win as the bettors' choice. Unraced at two, the bay filly has put together a record reading 10-2-2 in 15 starts, including a runner-up finish in the Photogenic Mares Series prior to the Spring Fling. The career winner of nearly $60,000 is owned by Julie Ferguson of Greely, Ont.
