Brawny wore down pacesetter Lucky Asset in Wednesday’s $11,000 Not Listed Preferred Pace to notch his third consecutive victory for trainer Danielle Soullliere at Sudbury Downs.

Lucky Asset (Jeff Nowoselsky) carved out fractions of :29, :59.3 and 1:27.3 while Brawny and Allan Hohner advanced from fourth. Lucky Asset stayed for second with Round About Fame (Gerry Belanger) following under the wire.

Brawny returned $3.80 to win as the popular choice. The five-year-old a son of Cammibest-Blushin Love is owned by Roger Brown of Lively and Donald Price of Powassan, ON. He has won half of his six seasonal starts and has yet to finish out of the money with his paychecks totaling $17,952. Lifetime, the bay gelding has recorded 16 wins and has banked $80,601
