Defending Elitloppet champion Go On Boy is among 16 world-class trotters set to compete in the 2026 edition of Sweden's premier trotting race next Sunday, May 31 at Solvalla Racecourse in Stockholm.

Go On Boy, a 10-year-old French stallion by Password, will make his fourth Elitloppet appearance, starting from post four in the second trial for trainer Romain Derieux. North American racing fans will be familiar with post two starter Allegiant, the 2024 Breeders Crown champion vying to become the first mare to win the Elitloppet in 28 years for trainer Daniel Redén, while four-time U.S. Driver of the Year Dexter Dunn picks up Daniel Wäjersten's Gio Cash from post one for his second appearance in the race after qualifying Stoletheshow for the 2023 final.

The first trial includes the Redén-trained Don Fanucci Zet, winner of the 2021 Elitloppet and runner-up last year behind Go On Boy, and two-time Prix d'Amérique champion Idao De Tillard for trainer Thierry Duvaldestin in posts four and five, respectively. Diva EK, who was a close runner-up in last year's Yonkers International Trot, has drawn post two for trainer Alessandro Gocciadoro.

The top four finishers from each elimination heat advance to the final later in the day with the winner receiving five million Swedish Krona (approximately $738,000 CAD).
