Get ready to dive into the third episode of Standardbred Canada's five-part series, The Road to the Nationals, which offers fans a general overview heading into each Regional Driving Championship (RDC) race card from a handicapping perspective, with the final episode highlighting the main event taking place in Trois-Rivieres, Que., at Hippodrome 3R, host of the 2024 National Driving Championship (NDC), which takes place on July 5.

Filmed out of the Standardbred Canada (SC) headquarters, and produced by Jeff Porchak, SC's Director of Digital Communications, SC's Road to the Nationals is co-hosted by Dan Fisher, Managing Director of TROT Magazine, and John Rallis, Associate Editor of TROT Magazine. 

In episode three, Fisher and Rallis delve into handicapping the 2024 Atlantic Regional Driving Championship (ARDC) to be contested at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino, Charlottetown, on May 25, with the help of a couple of special guest interviews, including one with ARDC driver Corey MacPherson.

The first race post time for Saturday’s card of harness racing is 6 p.m. (ADT) / 5 p.m. (EDT). The ARDC races are Races 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10. 

The following field of eight drivers are set for the ARDC:

Points for the ARDC will be awarded in each race according to the official order of finish: 14 points (1st), 9 (2), 6 (3), 4 (4), 3 (5), 2 (6), 1 (7).
