With Jim Morand at the lines, the Les Givens trainee battled with Ash Larue to the quarter pole in :27.4 before the latter cleared to the top. World Fame was treated to a pocket trip through fractions of :55.4 and 1:24.2 before finding clearance in the lane. She used a :28.3 closing panel to get up in the final strides over the dead-game pacesetter, Ash Larue. Red High Heels rounded out the top three finishers in the 1:53.1 performance.
Sent off as the 2-1 choice in the six-mare affair, World Fame improved her 2011 record to 4-2-0 in nine starts. The career winner in excess of $167,000 is owned by Joseph Fonte of Clarksville and James Magno of Rockville, MD.
