Starting in the seventh race on Friday night, trainer Mark Steacy took over the Rideau Carleton Raceway and went on a winning crusade

Mark scored three back-to-back wins on the 15-race program bringing his yearly win tally to lucky number 13 with over $63,000 earned. The resident of Lansdowne, Ont. now sports 962 wins on his record with over $10.5 million banked.
Mark's son, Shawn, guided three-year-old pacing fillies Take My Breathaway (1:59.1) and Pretty Thing (1:58.4) to their first lifetime victories while he sat behind the trotting filly The Tall Poppy (2:02.1) for her second career win.
