Mayotte Nearing His Return

After a long three months off watching from the sidelines due to a broken arm he sustained in the March 2 accident at Woodbine Racetrack, trainer/driver Roger Mayotte has told Trot Insider that he is on the verge of returning

to action.

“My arm is getting stronger everyday,” said Mayotte. “I’ve been going to the gym, swimming and working with weights daily.”

Mayotte, who has been jogging and training his horses daily over the past four weeks and has driven in a few schoolers, says he will drive Speed Demon for trainer Cheryl Bloomfield in a qualifier on Monday and plans to drop his name in the entry box to drive Escape The Wind next Saturday evening.
