David Miller’s Cash On Delivery ($10.80, Vince Copeland) put together a fierce stretch drive to take home Wednesday’s $18,000 featured Open Trot at Harrington Raceway in 1:55.3.
Driven by his trainer, the five-year-old Cash Hall gelding had to reel in longshot pacesetter Blueridge Tornado in deep stretch to prevail in the final strides. Major Herbie was third.
The win was the third in 2013 for Cash On Delivery, who boosted his seasonal earnings to nearly $60,000.
Drivers Ross Wolfenden and Montrell Teague each had a driving double.
