Once millionaire Ramegade Bruiser gained control of the field of six Preferred pacers during Saturday’s $34,000 main event at Woodbine Racetrack

Royal Morn (Paul MacDonell) and Keystone Horatio (Rick Zeron) battled on the lead through opening fractions of :26.1 while Post 3 starter Ramegade Bruiser and driver Rick Zeron took back to third. The seven-year-old son of Rambaran-Love You Dear didn’t sit still very long though, making his move down the backstretch to reach the half in :54.2, followed by three-quarters in 1:22.3. Ramagade Bruiser then unleashed a :27.1 final frame to equal his life’s mark of 1:49.4.
Keystone Horatio finished 1-1/2 length behind while the slight favourite, Major Hottie (Mark MacDonald), rallied off the cover of Kindly Poet (Sylvain Filion) to show.
Ramegade Bruise paid $6.80 to win as the 2-1 second choice. The victory was his third in 13 starts this year bumping his earnings to $82,300 for owner and trainer David Brown. Lifetime, Ramegade Bruiser has won 46 times and has banked $1,108,439.
