Forever Paradise Prevails In Preferred

Forever Paradise tracked down leader Clic K in the stretch to win the $2,400 Preferred Pace on Saturday, May 21 at Red Shores Racetrack & Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

The 40-time career winner's mile was clocked in an impressive 1:55.1, equalling his lifetime mark. Mike McGuigan was in the bike for the victory. Kevin MacLean conditions Forever Paradise for owners Reg MacPherson and David MacKenzie of Stratford, P.E.I., and Aaron MacKenzie of Winsloe, P.E.I. Clic K was second with First Art Down third. The 2-4-1 triactor paid $213.60.

In other action, Ramblinglily won the $2,200 Open Mares Handicap division in 1:58.3 for driver Walter Cheverie and trainer/co-owner Allan Jones.

Gilles Barrieau and Jackie Matheson teamed up for a driving and training triple after scoring with Woodmere Violator, Hornswoggle and Santiago Style.

Narragansett and Jeb gave Jason Hughes a driving/training double on the 11-dash card.
