Andrew Glassmeyer’s Sweet Angel Boy ($9.60) won his fifth straight race, taking the $30,822 Free-for-All Handicap Pace in 1:51.3 on Monday, May 20 at Harrington Raceway.

Trained by his owner, the six-year-old Sweet Lou gelding was a front-end winner by three-quarters of a length over On The Cards N and Layton Hanover for driver Corey Callahan. All of Sweet Angel Boy’s wins this year have come with him being on the lead.

One race later, Rodney Long’s The Candyman Can ($3.20), driven by Tony Morgan for trainer Chuck Crissman Jr., was a repeat winner in 1:53.1 in a $61,644 claiming event for pacers.

Later on the card, 80-year-old trainer/driver Eddie Davis, a Delaware driving legend, won with Allan Pullman’s In Thought ($57.20) in 1:56.4. Davis is a former driving champion in The First State and winner of more than 8,500 races.

Tlb Racing’s Captaincountrystar ($2.10) reset his lifetime mark, set last week, in 1:51 for driver Pat Berry and trainer Traci Berry for his second straight blowout win in a $19,863 conditioned pace.

Montrell Teague had four wins on the card. Allan Davis had a driving triple.

Live harness racing will continue on a Monday through Wednesday schedule with a post time of 4:30 p.m.
