After opening the 2015 edition of the Racing Under Saddle Ontario circuit this past weekend with a victory, Clinton native Natalie Elliott will make her home track debut at Clinton Raceway on Sunday, May 24 as the final race on the card.
Elliott opened the RUS Ontario season with a victory at The Raceway at the Western Fair District on Friday and rounded out the triactor at Flamboro Downs on Sunday.
"I'm very excited to be have a horse to ride at my home track," stated Elliott. "I tried last season to be in the race, but couldn't be ready quite in time. This season we are ready! Lexus Hawkeye is very confident in the RUS races, with a shining record of three wins in three starts! Hopefully we can keep the perfect record going.
"He felt great in the race at London on May 15 and I'm hoping we can give it our all over Clinton on Sunday. I look forward to having many family, friends and local race-goers out to support us - don't forget to wear yellow and orange in support!"
Race fans will have a chance to meet and chat with the RUS riders under the grandstand early in the race card. There will also be information available about the program, as well as a 50/50 draw.
Post time for the day's full card of live harness racing is 1:30 p.m. Be sure to visit clintonraceway.com for more information.
