Allen and Ira Kaplan and David Sheib’s Lorrie Please returned to Delaware a winner Tuesday with a 1:54.1 win in the $10,600 featured conditioned pace at Harrington Raceway.
The seven-year-old Western Ideal mare, who is trained by Doug Lewis, was sent for the lead by driver George Dennis and she never relinquished the top spot in her length win over Alexachase and Angelwithanattitude.
It was the 36th lifetime win for Lorrie Please, who boosted her seasonal earnings to nearly $70,000 and lifetime bankroll in excess of $535,000. The pacer is the current four-year-old track record holder for mares. She paid $6.20.
Driver Montrell Teague registered four driving wins on the 14-race program. Allan Davis, George Dennis and Victor Kirby each had a driving double.
