With two winners on the final day, Denmark's Birger Jørgensen captured driver of the day honours en route to the overall title in the 2009 World Driving

Championship in Oslo, Norway.

Surrounded by picturesque sight lines of rolling hills and the Oslo Fjord, Jørgensen finished the day with a summary total of 164 points, overtaking the tournament's long-time leader Peter Ferguson of New Zealand in the final day. Ferguson finished with 148 points, narrowly edging out hometown hero Eirik Høitomt (147) while Sweden's Björn Goop (136) finished fourth.

Jørgensen automatically receives entry in the next World Driving Championship, to be hosted by the United States in 2011.

The poor luck continued for Canada's Brad Forward, who finished in eighth overall with 96 points. While Forward was not pleased with the result, the experience is one he will never forget.

"It was the opportunity of a lifetime and such a thrill to come here with my wife, mom and dad and drive with this elite bunch of guys." Forward told Trot Insider. "I met some unbelievable people. They are so good to the animals, and they're like a pack with how close they all are."

Forward was able to read the comments posted to his blog entries, and was flattered by the support.

"It kept my spirits going to read all the comments," continued Forward. "It was fun and I thank everyone."

With a few days left before returning on Friday to drive at Western Fair, Forward did confirm that a few more blog posts would be en route.
