Three Straight For Sir Caviar

Sir Caviar extended his domination of the Meadows’ elite trotters Wednesday, May 18 when he easily captured the $22,500 Preferred Handicap for his third consecutive victory in as many 2011 starts.

Assigned Post 9, Sir Caviar quickly overcame that disadvantage when he surged to the lead for pilot Brian Zendt and was unthreatened thereafter. He scored in 1:53.4, a length better than the pocket-sitting Rembrandt Spur. Lord of Andover raced well first-over for third.

Leslie Zendt trains Sir Caviar, a five-year-old SJs Caviar--Sierra Flower K gelding that now has won 18 of 44 lifetime starts and $228,616, and owns with Bill Zendt.

Dave Palone and Randy Tharps each drove three winners on the 15-race card.
