P L Princess C ($9.30) and driver Aaron Byron charged late to win the Friday night feature at Tioga Downs, a $12,329 fillies and mares conditioned pace.
Favourite Lets Ryde Girl (Braxten Boyd) led to the quarter in :27 before backing down the pace to the half in :57.1. She was still in command getting to three-quarters in 1:24.3 with Amini (Mike Merton) threatening first-over, but P L Princess C rallied off cover turning for home and blew right on by to win in 1:53.1. Amini finished 1-3/4 lengths behind in second with Rosey Time (Jim Pantaleano) up for third over Lets Ryde Girl.
P L Princess C is a five-year-old daughter of Thinking Out Loud. The Ontario-bred mare is trained by Paul Long for owners Charlene and Jeff Long. She earned her third win of the season from seven starts and now has 13 career victories with earnings over $85,000.
Byron, Boyd and Tyler Miller each had driving doubles on the 11-race card while Tom Fanning had a training double.
