The battle of the stallions resumes on Saturday, May 18 as Twin B Tuffenuff tries to even the score in the Preferred Pace at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
The capital oval will field 11 dashes starting at 6 p.m. on Saturday evening.
Race 10 is the $3,800 Preferred class with Twin B Tuffenuff the morning line favourite from post two. Gilles Barrieau will drive for trainer Ron Matheson and owner Pat Morris of Charlottetown. The winner of $705,000 is standing his first season at stud in 2024 after racing the winter months in the U.S.
His 2024 P.E.I. debut was a narrow second-place finish (pictured above) to stablemate Blood Money, who will leave from post three on Saturday. Ashes To Ashes (Barrieau) is favoured in the Race 11 finale, which also features the Super Hi-5. Matheson trains the 10-year-old son of Driven To Win who will leave from post four this week. His top rivals are pylon starter Leavin Bruises (Damian MacLellan) and Afair Somewhere (Adam Merner).
