All Spirit Wins Top Class At Tioga

All Spirit and Howard Parker captured the $14,000 Fillies and Mares Class A Handicap Pace on Saturday night at Tioga Downs

Howard “Pacin” Parker shuffled All Spirit second over into contention behind Im Not Gonna Lie (Greg Merton), who went first over against pacesetter Ubetterthink Think (Mike Micallef). As the field reached the three-quarter pole in 1:24.4, Parker sent All Spirit three-wide around Im Not Gonna Lie and dueled with Ubetterthink Think in the lane to capture her first victory of the year in 1:53.2.

Tim Lanpher trains the four-year old daughter of Bettors Delight-Spirit Of Ivy for Larry Lanpher of Winter Park, Florida. With the victory, All Spirit increased her career bankroll to more than $209,000 in only her 24th career start. Ubetterthink Think (Mike Micallef) hung on for second, while Co Ed Desire (Jim Taggart Jr.) got up for third.

Parker posted a driving triple on the night’s 12-race card, while Bruce Ranger and Kevin Hough each collected two driving victories.

Tioga Downs continues live racing action on Sunday, May 16 at 1:30 p.m. featuring two division of the Simpson Stakes for three-year-old pacing fillies and one division for three-year-old pacing colts.
