Who have harness racing's sharpest minds selected in the 2025 TROT Magazine Fantasy Stable? Trot Insider will feature 'expert picks' in advance of the deadline for this year's contest.
Returning once more to Standardbred Canada's panel of experts is Greg Blanchard, Director of Equine Programming at The Raceway at Western Fair District.
Included in Blanchard's selections is the 2024 O'Brien Award finalist Odds On Platinum, who he has headlining Group C as she returns to the races at age four.
"Odds On Platinum held her form during a well-travelled three-year-old season," said Blanchard. "She proved to be one of the very best in her division and ended the season on a winning note. I am expecting her to make the transition to age four better than some others, and I know that her connections will manage her well through that transition."
Campaigned by Dr. Ian Moore, the royally-bred daughter of Bettors Delight-American Jewel enters 2025 off a three-year-old season with seven wins in 19 starts, including wins in the James Lynch, Ontario Sires Stakes Super Final and USS Indianapolis Memorial en route to banking $751,389. Hitting the board in the first two starts of her four-year-old campaign against Preferred company, Odds On Platinum sports a career resume of 32-9-10-6, racking up career earnings of more than $1.1 million for owners Let It Ride Stables and Odds On Racing.

Contestants have until 5 p.m. (EDT) on May 23 to make your selections. You cannot change your stable once submitted.
The contest is based on total earnings of selected horses and five percent of the earnings of selected trainers and drivers between May 23, 2025 and Dec. 31, 2025. Follow along all year long!
For the purposes of the fantasy bankroll, the winners (horses only) of the 2025 Hambletonian AND Breeders Crown Finals will each receive a $200,000 contest bankroll bonus. Once again, in the two-year-old categories, you must select TWO horses in each.
At the end of the year, the first three finishers (based on total earnings) will be awarded prizes in the amount of $1,000 CAD for first place, $500 CAD for second place and $250 CAD for third place, as well as the same amount (in USD credit) on OnGait.com. (OnGait credit is transferable).
