Petition To Stop 'Tweeting Racehorses'

Published: May 15, 2013 10:50 am EDT

In what appears to be a tongue-in-cheek move, the White House in the United States has been petitioned to stop racehorses from tweeting on Twitter.

The petition, which appears on the official website of the White House, states that the 'tweeting racehorses' have caused an unintended 'avalanche' of clutter to the news feeds of horse racing's fans.

The people behind the petition have asked that 'Twitter be restricted to only humans and large, multinational corporations. And parody accounts. Some of those are hilarious.'

The petition is looking to receive 10,000 signatures by June 10.
