Making his second start for new connections on the East coast, Dvc Done Good circled the field and kicked away by 6-1/2 lengths to win the featured $1,000 Winners Over Pace Saturday afternoon at Northside Downs

Dvc Done Good, with Greg Sparling in the bike, got away fifth from the outside Post 5 while last week’s winner Cruisinart (Keith Dicks) took the field to the first quarter in :28.1. Dvc Done Good launched a first over attack during the second interval and applied pressure to the leader past the half in :58. Once the six-year-old son of Quentin Hanover-J Cs Good Girl took control, he hit three-quarters in 1:28 and opened up on the field in the stretch to win in 1:58.3. Cruisinart stayed for second and Sir Dutch (Bruce McGean) finished third.
Previously a competitor at Rideau Carleton Raceway, Dvc Done Good was recently purchased by trainer Joseph Tracey of Sydney, NS. The win was the gelding’s first of the season in 11 outings and marked his 22nd victory lifetime lifting his bankroll to $87,004.
