Track Record For 12YO Pacing Mare

There are not many nights where a 12-year-old nets a track record at any racetrack in North America.

On Tuesday, May 13 at Rosecroft, Boca Hanover scored career win number 52 in her 309th start and broke the track’s older pacing mare record set by Kellytuck Sophie back in 2007.

Sitting the pocket behind the pacesetting Friendnheartbeat (driven by Art Stafford Jr.), Boca Hanover sprinted up the passing lane to best Magic Card (Tony Morgan) in 1:51.1.

The 1:51.1 clocking also tied the fastest distaff mile in Rosecroft's 65-year history.

Frank Milby drives and trains the daughter of The Panderosa for owner Denise Beaver.

Milby scored another victory in the Filly and Mare Open. He sent Rocket Rosy right to the front and she never looked back. Rocket Rosy went on to score in 1:51.4 for owner Brian Callahan and trainer Brian Fisher. It was her second straight win at the top level.

Winbak Carl won his third colts and geldings Open of the meet, as he scored in 1:51 for Tony Morgan. I Wanna Go Fast (Donnie Russell) was second and pacesetter Shady Breeze (Jonathan Roberts) was third.

Roberts copped the Open II with Caviart Tyler for owner Tom Cooke and trainer Bib Roberts in 1:51.2.

Roberts, Morgan and Milby dominated the Tuesday night card, winning nine of the 12 races as each picked up three wins.
