Driver Todd Trites worked out a perfect pocket trip aboard P H Bestman to win Sunday afternoon's featured $1,225 Winners Over Pace at Truro Raceway over Danny Romo trainees Oakmont and Lils Destiny

The victory was P H Bestman's third in a row among the top pacers on the grounds and resulted in a season's best clocking of 1:56.1.
The Dr. Trevin Shive trainee followed the popular season-debuting Oakmont and Romo through fractions of :28.2, :58, and 1:27.2 before unleashing a :28.3 final frame to prevail by three-quarters of a length. The Bernard McCallum-driven Lils Destiny, a runner-up last week, finished third off a three-hole trip.
The seven-year-old son of Cambest, a 34-time career winner, is owned by Dr R. James Shive of Rines Creek, N.S. He paid $4.50 to win as the second choice.
