The seven-year-old Dragon Again mare Camera Lady topped the 2021 Blooded Horse Spring Mixed Sale, which saw 105 horses sell through the ring on Tuesday (May 11).
Camera Lady, selling as Hip 66, auctioned for $47,000 to William Hartt of Caramel, Maine. Burke Racing LLC consigned the mare and sold two more of the sale's toppers.
Also from Burke Racing LLC, Macs Big Boy (Hip 71) sold for $38,000 to Carl Wayne Hambleton of Lima, Ohio. Warrawee Unique (Hip 69) brought the next-highest sales tag with a $35,000 winning bid by Brandon Bartley of Pickerington, Ohio.
Trevor One went for the fourth-highest price of the sale, with the hammer slamming to a $34,500 bid by Gray Thunder II Stable of New Rochelle, N.Y. Spring Haven Farm consigned the son of American Ideal.
William Hartt, buying the sales topper, also purchased the fifth-most expensive horse of the sale when taking Smile E Coyote for $30,000. Emerald Highlands Farm consigned the Racing Hill gelding.
