Almost any time standardbred racing gets mentioned in major mainstream media outlets it is a shot in the arm for the industry -- especially when a publication like The New York Times decides to get into the mix

Up and coming young driver Jason Bartlett has caught the attention of virtually everyone in the Northeastern United States harness racing industry. With Bartlett now days away from competing in the World Driving Championships in Norway, The New York Times decided to see what the pilot was all about.

“It came to me as a shock to be selected,” Bartlett, 28, said. “But it’s a great honour to represent your country and compete against the best drivers in the world.”
