On Tuesday, May 10 it was reported that 2011 Inter Dominion champion may be stripped of his title.

An article by the Herald Sun states that racing officials in New Zealand have informed the lawyer for Smoken Up's trainer/driver, Lance Justice, that the split sample of the horse's post-race swab has come back positive for the illegal anti-inflammatory substance called dimethyl sulfoxide -- more commonly known as DMSO.

On Friday, April 8 at Alexandra Park in Auckland, New Zealand, Smoken Up held off late bids by some solid horses to post a three-quarters of one length victory in the $800,000 Inter Dominion Pacing Championship.
