The PEI Standardbred Horse Owners Association (PEISHOA) presented its first in Person Awards Banquet since 2019 last night (April 30) at the Rodds Charlottetown Hotel. Over 200 People attended the event to see the stars of the 2021 harness racing season were honoured and listen to guest speakers Anthony and James MacDonald.
This year the PEISHOA recognized a much deserving group of horsemen in a new award called Harness Racing Industry Builders Award. The first six inductees were: Boyd MacDonald, Gordon MacLean, Boyd White, Jackie Arsenault, Wayne Pike and Gordon Neil
Horse of the Year for 2021 honours went to the Riley Farms Trotter Up Helly AA.
