Overlooked by the betting public at odds of 11-1, Bettor B Lucky went wire-to-wire to win the $30,000 Winners Over Handicap Pace for fillies and mares on Wednesday afternoon at Harrah's Philadelphia.

Driver Andy Miller fired the fourth choice to the lead from post six during a speedy :26.2 opening panel and cruised though middle splits of :55.1 and 1:23.2 en route to the 1:51.2 triumph. Bettor B Lucky held off the pylon-skimming Fast And Fiesty, driven by David Miller, down the stretch for the neck victory while 8-5 favourite Romantic Moment and Yannick Gingras finished one length behind third.

Bettor B Lucky, winner of a leg of the Blue Chip Matchmaker Series on April 12, paid $25 to win.

The four-year-old daughter of Bettors Delight is owned by trainer Ron Burke (as Burke Racing Stable), Weaver Bruscemi LLC, William Donovan, and Lawrence Karr. She won seven of her 21 sophomore starts last year, including the Lady Maud Stakes, while banking over half a million dollars in purses and is now two-for-seven in her aged campaign with $55,160 earned.
