According to a report, the Indiana horse racing industry may soon see a $10 million portion of annual revenue it receives from slot machines diverted to another industry.
An article by the Indianapolis Business Journal explains that the idea, which would see the $10 million funnelled to the state's auto racing industry, was debated in the House Ways and Means Committee on Monday, April 8.
The idea has been attached to Senate Bill 91 via amendment.
The report explains that the state's horse racing industry currently receives roughly $57 million for horse racing purses and breeding incentives.
