Gaming Executives To Address Horse Racing

Larry Flynn, the senior vice president of gaming with the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, and David Thorburn, the New Brunswick and PEI project specialist with the Atlantic Lottery Corporation

, have been confirmed as speakers at this month’s Standardbred Wagering Conference.

Flynn, who is responsible for Ontario’s racino and casino properties, will share his perspective about the relationship between racetracks and slot facilities, including successes and the various bumps along the road.

David Thorburn, the New Brunswick and PEI project specialist with the Atlantic Lottery Corporation will also be on the panel to address the discussion from a maritime perspective.

Thorburn, who previously worked for the OLG, is very involved in the ALCs charge to build and set up operationally, a new facility at the Summerside Raceway that includes harness racing, a gaming floor and Food and Beverage operations. Thorburn also leads the development and execution of physical facility changes at the Charlottetown Driving Park Entertainment Centre to enhance the customer experience.
