Driver Aaron Merriman has been pushed into the spotlight and for good reason. The second-generation horsemen from Northville, Ohio has recorded 234 triumphs, which has earned him the top spot in the North American standings for wins this year

.

"I've never had a run like this before," Merriman said in an article on cleveland.com. "I've just been on a roll. It's really unbelievable. I don't think about the national standings. You don't want to put that kind of pressure on yourself. All I want to do is to show up every day and do my job, be competitive and win."

The 30-year-old reinsman, who was featured in an article on ohio.com yesterday, says he has travelled well over 234 miles though to reach the top.

"I've beaten my truck to death. It's a 2007 model, and it's got more than 100,000 miles on it already. No matter how you go, it's two hours and five minutes drive time between Northfield and The Meadows."
