Racy Roxy A, a two-time winner of the top distaff class at Saratoga Casino Hotel in 2025, scored in the $22,917 Fillies and Mares Winners Over/Open Handicap Pace for the first time this year on Monday, April 6.

She drew post two for her try in the feature for the ladies, and Jay Randall moved the Rob Harmon trainee out to the early lead. The mare cruised through comfortable first-half fractions of :28.1 and :57.3 before being met with the challenge of second choice Soft Shot (Kyle Swift). Soft Shot, who has two Open wins in her first season competing at Saratoga, got a tough trip first-over chasing Racy Roxy A, who checked in at three quarters in 1:25.4.

Racy Roxy A put that rival away down the lane but had to contend with One More Bet (Brett Beckwith), who sat the pocket every step of the way. That foe, who was making her debut in the Open, closed quickly up the passing lane but came up a nose shy in a photo. Racy Roxy A stopped the timer in 1:55 to secure the upset at odds of 9-1. One More Bet was the runner-up while Soft Shot earned the show spot.

Racy Roxy A was previously winless against top mares at the Spa in 2026 but recorded two victories in the upper-level conditions before Monday's score. The daughter of Mr Feelgood-Rani Major, owned by Michael Casalino Jr., is now 27-for-119 lifetime. She paid $21.98 to win.

Racy Roxy A completed a double for the Rob Harmon stable while driver Jay Randall piloted three winners on the 13-race Monday card.

Live racing at Saratoga continues on Tuesday with a matinee that begins at noon. The first race will feature a 50-cent Pick Five carryover of $5,511. The second race begins the $1 Pick Four which will have a carryover of $1,757.
