Starkewski Takes Three At Century

Trainer Rod Starkewski collected three wins on the Sunday, April 7 card at Century Downs, including a six-and-a-quarter-length, wire-to-wire blowout by Crackle N Burn.

Leaving from post eight, Crackle N Burn cleared command from Mystic Island in :28.2 and, setting tepid splits of :58.1 and 1:28, ripped to the wire as the odds-on favourite to win in 1:57.1.

The $3.20 winner came after Starkewski sent Outlaw Gunsablazin ($2.80) to a 1:56.4 victory in the opener. Savemedasportspage ($6.10) completed Starkewski's hat trick, winning narrowly over his stablemate Maxsamian in 1:57.1.
