Bobs Hope, by Donato Hanover, scored his second Open Trot victory of the year at Saratoga Casino Hotel on Sunday afternoon (April 7).
Jay Randall piloted the Amanda Kelley trainee and was aggressive from the get-go, as he retook the lead with Bobs Hope over last week’s Open winner Wings Of Royalty, who was driven by Shawn Gray.
The seven-year-old Bobs Hope never faced an anxious moment after reclaiming the lead Sunday and coasted to an open-length victory in 1:55.1.

Bobs Hope paid $6.10 to win in his second victory in ‘the Spa’s $15,000 trotting feature this season. Mandeville (Jimmy Devaux) toughed out a first-over trip to finish second, while Wings Of Royalty had to settle for third.
Bobs Hope, whose win was the fourth in his last five starts, led an exacta and triple that returned $29.20 and $60.50, respectively.
Live racing at Saratoga will resume on Wednesday afternoon with a first post time of 12:00 p.m.
