Dead heats are rare in horse racing, but they're more rare when it involves a male and a female participant. Even more rare is when that male and female happen to be husband and wife.
A thoroughbred race in Australia on Monday ended with two horses on the line together. Worthington, ridden by Dean Yendell was in the lead but had to withstand a late bid from Welsh Poet and his wife, jockey Christine Puls. The photo finish declared the husband and wife inseparable ... on the finish line.

After the race, both Yendall and Puls were briefly interviewed. Yendall stated that he was happy to share the win while Puls was quick to disagree with a lighthearted "I'm not happy to share it at all" and stating that she was leaving to look at the photo finish.
