The winning streak is now seven in a row for pacing mare Nadia Can Go, thanks to a narrow triumph in a $9,000 conditioned tilt Tuesday evening at The Raceway at Western Fair District.

With Garrett Rooney at the controls, Nadia Can Go shot to the lead from Post 2 and raced through fractions of :27.4, :58.2 and 1:28 before using a :29.4 closing panel to hold on for a nose decision in 1:57.4 over Darktwistedfantasy and Shadows Mystery.

Sent off as the 4-5 favourite, the Heather Toll trainee improved her 2016 record to 8-0-0 from 10 tries while bumping her seasonal bankroll to $34,902. The 11-time winner boosted her overall cash stash to $57,648 for Brydown Farms Inc of Clinton, Ont.

Tomitta Bayama used a next-to-last sweep to take home the lion’s share of the loot in the $7,500 Preferred 3 for horse and gelding pacers.

Bob McClure got away fifth with the Tom Hamm trainee, leading the lead to Warrior Call through fractions of :27.1, :57.4 and 1:27. Tomitta Bayama picked up cover on the way to the half, and he was three-wide and pressing at the three-quarter pole. Despite being charted with interference before reaching the head of the stretch, Tomitta Bayama kept his composure and used a :29-second closing quarter to prevail by a half-length margin over Intended Royalty and Warrior Call in 1:56.1.

Dave Hudson of Dallas, TX owns the seven-year-old son of Camluck-Korinna Bayama, who won for the second time this season and for the 18th time in his career. He’s stashed away more than $103,000 in his career.

Jayport All Muscle shipped into town off an impressive score at Flamboro Downs and captured the $8,300 Preferred 3 Trot in 2:00.2. Driver Alfie Carroll engineered the wire-to-wire score, guiding the four-year-old son of Muscle Mass-Jayport Design to a one-and-a-quarter length decision over Winzel (Nick Steward) and Wattafine Rythem (Garrett Rooney).

Dagfin Henriksen trains Jayport All Muscle for owner Frank Venneri of Thorold, Ont. With two wins on the year from 10 tries, Jayport All Muscle has now matched his seasonal win total (from 30 starts) in 2015.
