Taking advantage of the leader’s miscue, Cameron Chip vaulted from mid-back around the final turn and went on to capture Tuesday’s $22,500 Filly & Mare Preferred

Trot at The Meadows.

BVs Sister made a powerful first-over move to the front and opened up daylight lead on the field, only to break stride at the top of the lane. That was the signal for Cameron Chip and Dave Palone to get serious. The six-year-old daughter of Chip Chip Hooray-Ten Queens brushed wide through the stretch to score by 2-3/4 lengths over Tiffany in 1:56.3. Digital Pix found late room and rallied for show.

John Calabrese trains Cameron Chip, who had been performing regularly at the Meadowlands, for Calabrese Farms.

Palone drove six winners - each for a different trainer - while Tony Hall enjoyed a driving triple on the 15-race card.
