Treasure Dreams moved smartly first-over to grind down Matrona and capture her $15,000 opening-leg division of the Margaret Provost Memorial Trot Wednesday (April 4) at The Meadows.
The series for three-year-old fillies honours the memory of Margaret Provost, longtime owner of Standardbreds at The Meadows.
Treasure Dreams was fourth when Tony Hall sent her after Matrona. The daughter of Winning Mister and Magic Treasure pressured Matrona relentlessly and downed her by half a length in 2:00.1. Pembroke Mystery rallied for show.
