Ufdragons Rocket went to the front and didn’t look back en route to a comfortable victory in Monday’s $11,000 Preferred 2 for pacers at The Raceway at Western Fair District.
Billy Davis, Jr. hustled Ufdragons Rocket to the lead from Post 1, and the pair never looked back after rolling through panels of :27.3, :58 and 1:26.2. They used a :29.1 closing quarter to win by a pair of lengths over Eve Marie Seelster. Kendal Gustav took home the show dough in the five-horse affair.
Richard Moreau trains the seven-year-old son of Dragon Again-Pacific Monterey, who was sent off as the 3-2 favourite. The gelding is owned by 5527920 Manitoba Ltd of Niagara On The Lake, Ont. It was the third win of the year – and the 23rd to date – for the career winner of $239,806.
