Georges Vacation Pockets Windsor Open

Nine-year-old trotter Georges Vacation converted a perfect pocket trip into a career-best 1:58 victory in Windsor Raceway's $13,000 Open on Wednesday night

Leaving from the inside post position, Georges Vacation and driver Marc St. Louis Jr. gave way to Post 5 starter Whitesand Diablo (Gene Piroski) and played follow the leader through fractions of :28, :57.1, and 1:27 before sprinting on by for his 33rd career win. Whitesand Diablo finished one and a half lengths behind in second and Island Heat (Robert Dinning) rounded out the top three.

Georges Vaction paid $7.70 to win as the 5-2 co-second choice. The Dream Vacation-Armbro Katydid trotter earned his second straight win while stepping up in class and fourth of the season in 10 outings. He is trained by Roderick Merrick for owner Michael McCarty of Hudson, Michigan.
