On Friday, April 1, state regulators in Maryland released Pimlico Race Course and Laurel Park's combined loses in 2010, and the numbers were not pretty whatsoever
.
According to a report by The Baltimore Sun the Maryland Jockey Club-owned tracks lost a combined $20 million in 2010.
The article also explains that Maryland Jockey Club President Tom Chuckas has said that he believes that tracks will break even this year if it they get $3.6 million in aid to cover day-to-day operating costs.
