Road To The Meadowlands Pace - Week 1

The defending Dan Patch and O'Brien Award-winning Horse of the Year Beau Jangles tops the first "Road to The Meadowlands Pace" of 2026. 

On the way to the 2025 Horse of the Year trophy, “Beau” went unbeaten in 12 tries, which included victories in the Breeders Crown and Metro Pace. He has never raced outside of Canada. The plan calls for his first race in the United States coming in his Meadowlands Pace elimination. He qualified for the second time this season on April 17 at Florida's Southern Oaks Training Center, winning in 1:50.4.

“He’s in good shape. He had a good spring. His first start will be in the WEG/SBOA eliminations on May 9,” said trainer Dr. Ian Moore.

The top 10 rankings are compiled by Meadowlands Racetrack's TV host Dave Little are scheduled to be released every Thursday until the July 4 eliminations for the 50th edition of the Meadowlands Pace, which will be contested on July 11.
