Call To Post enjoyed a comfortable first half on the point, then rolled home through the slop to score a facile victory in Friday’s (April 30) feature at The Meadows, a $10,300 conditioned trot.
Once Tony Hall gave Call To Post that :58.4 opening half, the 12-year-old Tom Ridge-Poster Princess gelding easily repelled the first-over challenge of Master Class and defeated him by 1-1/4 lengths in 1:56.3. Godspell Hall completed the ticket.
It was the first win in 11 starts this year for Call To Post, who lifted his lifetime bankroll to $397,065 for trainer Dane Snyder and owner Danielle Snyder.
Dave Palone and Hall each piloted three winners on the 13-race card.
Saturday (May 1) is the annual Kentucky Derby Day extravaganza at The Meadows, when the track will offer a stakes-filled live harness card, the Kentucky Derby simulcast, and day-long fan activities including food trucks, a beer garden, and giveaways. It all begins at the special post time of 11:25 a.m.
