O'Brien Award winning driver Jody Jamieson is once again leading Canada in wins but he's giving others a chance to play catch up
.
Jamieson departs for Finland on April 8 on what he calls a "whirlwind tour" and will be racing in tracks all over the country for ten days. Back in 2001, Jamieson captured the World Driving Championship in a competition that took place over tracks in Sweden and Finland and he has always wanted to get back there.
"I got a message back in January from a guy from Fintoto in Finland, he wanted me to come over there and race some horses," Jamieson told Woodbine Racing Live on Friday night. "Immediately I wanted to go but it had to be the right time of year. He managed to get me out there for ten days."
The pre-race interview from the Woodbine Racing Live with WEG's Greg Blanchard and Jody Jamieson is available in two parts below, where Jamieson discusses his imminent trip and more.
