The Bolt The Duer gelding Imoutthedoor, a star in Iowa at two and three, is continuing his development on the East Coast at four.

On Friday (April 29) at Harrah’s Philadelphia, Imoutthedoor was never better. He was victorious in the $14,400 featured pace and lowered his mark by almost three seconds to 1:51.1 in the process.

Tim Tetrick (whose three triumphs on the day led all drivers) hustled the 21-time career winner to the lead before the :27.4 opening quarter, then ceded the lead to the brushing favourite Meet The Creeper, who led the field through the next two splits in :56.1 and 1:23.3. It was just these two who stood a chance as they turned for home, and Imoutthedoor was full of pace after the dream journey, winning by 1-3/4 lengths for trainer Rob Harmon and owner Cathy Dessert.

The $11,200 fast-class pace saw the Well Said gelding Daddyofemall well-placed off a speedy duel, then swinging wide to gain contention nearing the three-quarters and going on to victory in 1:52. Daddyofemall held off the late move of 74-1 shot Mr Censi by 1-1/2 lengths, with favoured Seventh Secret unable to last on the lead on after fighting through fractions of :26.4, :54.1, and 1:22.2, settling for third. Daddyofemall, now a winner of $262,924, was driven by Simon Allard for trainer Joseph Columbo and George & Tina Dennis Racing.

Sunday’s feature at Harrah’s will be a $22,500 handicap distaff pace, with Majorca N, undefeated after four North American starts, assigned the outside in the field of six. After the 12:40 card Sunday, Harrah’s will be dark on Wednesday for the last time in the early part of the year, and there is a special Kentucky Derby Day card live at 12:40 on May 7. Program pages are or will be available at the PHHA website.
