Count Me In worked out a perfect pocket trip, and then brushed through the Lightning Lane to capture Tuesday’s $18,000 Winners Over $10,000 Life/Preferred Handicap Trot at The Meadows.
In only his second start of the year, Count Me In got just the journey he needed on a “good” surface, following a strong Holy Halibut before accelerating in the stretch to down him by two lengths in 1:56 for Mike Wilder. Kirty Dream raced well first over for third.
Marty Wollam trains Count Me In, a five-year-old Full Count-Howl gelding who now boasts $265,791 in career earnings, and owns with Acadia Farms.
Aaron Merriman and Wilbur Yoder each drove three winners on the 14-race card.
