Trio Of Trainers Score Track Triples

Horsemen Gerry Belanger, Richard Moreau and Dean Nixon each earned training triples at racetracks across Ontario on Saturday night

Woodbine Racetrack's leading trainer Moreau tripled up during the 12-race Toronto card with Guard Dog ($5.40), Power Shot ($9.40), and Lennon Blue Chip ($5.10) winning their respective assignments with Sylvain Filion driving. Canada's leading money earning trainer of 2012 also picked up a win at Georgian Downs in the Preferred 2 Pace with the Scott Coulter-driven Wild Dragon ($6).

Belanger and Nixon had near perfect nights on the racetrack going three-for-four with their students at Sudbury and Kawartha Downs, respectively.

Belanger drove his pupils Thomson Seelster ($14.10), Tax Riteoff ($10.90), and Gamin Blanco ($24.30) to victories during the 10-race card in Chelmsford. Belanger also drove Sudbury Downs winner Astro Lad ($8.40) for trainer Anna Rhymer.

Kawartha's meet leading conditioner Nixon teamed up with Gord Brown to win with the maiden-breaking How Do You Sleep ($5.70) and Joshua My Boy ($10.40). The duo also won with Jennas Princess ($3.50) later during the 10-race program.
