Call Me Richard rolled to the front and never looked back for driver J Harris in Thursday’s $11,000 Preferred 2 Handicap for trotters at Flamboro Downs.
Harris hustled the Clare Bradshaw-trained Call Me Richard to the lead from Post 4, and the four-year-old successfully doled out fractions of :28.2, :58.2 and 1:28.1 before using a :29.3 closing quarter to seal the deal by 5-1/2 lengths over race favourite Can I Say in 1:57.4. Hie Benny took home third prize in the six-horse affair.
Princeton Farms Inc of Scotland, Ont. owns the son of Muscle Mass-Olympic Dreams. It was his first win of the season – and the seventh to date – for the career winner of $90,005.
